    i believe not only in life after death, but death while our bodies are still living. we become so consumed with falling in love with bodies and jewels, our bodies sick with lust for green and gold, tantalized by the possibility of power. we have dehumanized ourselves to degrading our brother and undermining our sister. we plot, we connive, we hate, we eat, we gain more and more material strength, but we lost our passion. All that is left is an unquenchable thirst for something else, a position, an item that we must have. we seem together and independant of mind, when in reality, we have lost touch with what we love, and we do not see past the boundaries of today, or tomorrow. we greedily seize our days and do not think of the results that would come the next year, or for the next generation. we find power, we find money, and we find status, but we sacrificed happiness and love at the altar. Our spirits hover in the faith that our empty bodies will realize what they are missing. Yet, we will not realize that we are wrong, we will justify our lifestyles by pointing the fingers at others, diffusing the guilt, dignity is a play on words. We are numb, desensitized, polarized, apathetic, we don't care, because we don't want to bother, we just want to take our days in and soak up a life that is tasteless and is based off of satisfying impulses and achieving greed. We sold our souls for gold, and we pride ourselves on invisible philanthropy, trying to gain status, and make the next move.To us, all matters in life are a game, and we threw out the rulebooks. There are no teams, each person fights for themselves. the sun rises, and we vainly battle an imaginary coffin, when in reality, we have already hit the ground laughing.
